Santa Workshop - Inside China Slave Labour Toy Factories

The majority of the toys in the world are made by many thousands of slave workers in China. Consumers also have the responsibility to change things, take responsibility and boycott toys made in China.

SANTA'S WORKSHOP takes you to the real world of China's toy factories. Workers tell us about long working hours, low wages, and dangerous work places. Those who protest or try to organize trade unions risk imprisonment. Low labor costs attract more and more companies to China. Today more than 75% of our toys are made in China. But this industry takes its toll on the workers and on the environment.

The European (and American) buyers blame bad conditions on the Chinese suppliers. But they say that increasingly hard competition gives them no option. Who should we believe? And what can you do to bring about a fairer and more humane toy trade?

"Sometimes we have no choice, we work till dawn. When you work all night you become dizzy and your eyes hurt because you can't take any breaks." - Chinese (slave) worker

Consumption Vanity Disorder - How consumerism manipulates, transforms and destroys society, the economy and the environment

The last thing that fish would ever notice in its habitat is the water. Likewise the most obvious and powerful realities of our human culture seemed also be the most unrecognized.

And it is only when we take pause, often at the risk of social alienation, to question the foundational principles and ideas to which our lives are oriented, a dark truth about our supposed “normality” becomes more clear.

Today we live in an ocean with enormous waves of status obsession, materialism, vanity, ego and consumerism. Our very lives had become defined not by our productive thoughts, social contributions and good will, but by superficial, delusional set of associations with the very fabric of our society that now radiates cheap romanticism, connected to vain competition, conspicuous consumption and neurotic addictions often related to physical beauty, status and superficial wealth.

In effect it is social conformity masquerading as individualism, with the virtues of balance, intelligence, peace, public health and true creativity left to rot on the sidelines. The cultural water we inhabit today runs deep with heavy pollution. It starts in our formative years when to be smart and achieving is to be a nerd or a geek.

Culture In Decline: Episode #3 covers a new epidemic disease rapidly spreading across the world: Consumption-Vanity Disorder.

The Shift - Finding your life purpose and transforming your life

A MUST SEE MOVIE

A very powerful and inspirational movie that talks about personal transformation, evolution and what really matters in life, such as happiness, peace and love for us and others.

How can we build a better life for ourselves? How can we achieve peace and happiness? This movie will show other perspectives that will help answer these and other questions, and change your life.

Best-Selling Author and Renowned Spiritual Teacher, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Presents His First Feature Film--The Shift (formerly titled Ambition to Meaning). Join Wayne Dyer and a star-studded cast for a story that will capture your imagination and send you on your own quest for a life of meaning and purpose. In The Shift, we share the stories of three modern lives in crisis--a young mother who nurtures everyone but herself, an overachieving husband who has forgotten what love means, and a moviemaker desperate for the opportunity that will make him worthy in his own eyes. Every life has a turning point, a shift, a choice to make about what really matters.

About the movie:

From the creators of You Can Heal Your Life: The Movie comes a compelling portrait of three modern lives in need of new direction and new meaning. In his first-ever movie (written by Kristen Lazarian and directed by Michael Goorjian), Wayne Dyer explores the spiritual journey in the second half of life when we long to find the purpose that is our unique contribution to the world. The powerful shift from the ego constructs we are taught early in life by parents and society—which promote an emphasis on achievement and accumulation—are shown in contrast to a life of meaning, focused on serving and giving back.

Filmed on coastal California’s spectacular Monterey Peninsula, The Shift captures every person’s mid-life longing for a more purposeful, soul-directed life.

“Thoroughly unprepared, we take the step into the afternoon of life. Worse still, we take this step with the false presupposition that our truths and our ideals will serve us as hitherto. But we cannot live the afternoon of life according to the program of life’s morning, for what was great in the morning will be little at evening and what in the morning was true, at evening will have become a lie.” - Carl Gustav Jung

The Shift explores the intertwined lives of an overachieving businessman (played by Edward Kerr), a mother of two young children seeking her own expression in the world (Shannon Sturges), and a film director trying to make a name for himself (Michael DeLuise). Also starring Portia de Rossi. The Shift not only inspires, but also teaches us how to find the path to our spiritual purpose and therefore our greatest joy.

“I am 68 years old and I have a new career,” Dyer explained. “When I was asked to do this film, I didn’t think ‘I’m too old to do something I’ve never done before.’ I thought ‘I am open to everything. I am willing to change and to learn.’ I’m more proud of this film than of anything I’ve ever done before.”

Wayne Dyer appears in the film as himself. Special appearance by Louise L. Hay.

The lifting power of love - Do You Make a Difference?

Article by Wayne Dyer - Many years ago I was with one of my daughters as she completed a lengthy program in the wilderness to help her deal more effectively with some of her teenage dilemmas. The last thing the counselor at the wilderness camp said to her was, “Remember at all times that what you think and what you do affects other people.” This is true even beyond the impact we have on our friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. I believe that we impact all of humanity.

In Power vs. Force, Dr. David Hawkins writes: “In this interconnected universe, every improvement we make in our private world improves the world at large for everyone. We all float on the collective level of consciousness of mankind, so that any increment we add comes back to us. We all add to our common buoyancy by our efforts to benefit life. It is a scientific fact that what is good for you is good for me.” Dr. Hawkins has backed up his remarks and conclusions with 29 years of hard research. I’ll briefly summarize some of these conclusions and how they relate to the impact you have on others when you’re connected to Source.

In essence, every single person as well as large groups of people can be calibrated for their energy levels. Generally speaking, low-energy people cannot distinguish truth from falsehood. They can be told how to think, whom to hate, whom to kill; and they can be herded into a group-think mentality based on such trivial details as what side of the river they were born on, what their parents and their grandparents believed, the shape of their eyes, and hundreds of other factors having to do with appearance and total identification with their material world. Hawkins tells us that approximately 87 percent of humanity calibrates at a collective energy level that weakens them. The higher up the ladder of frequency vibration, the fewer people there are in those high levels. The highest levels are represented by the truly great persons who originated spiritual patterns that multitudes have followed throughout the ages. They’re associated with divinity, and they set in motion attractor energy fields that influence all of humankind.

Just below the energy level of pure enlightenment are the energy levels associated with the experience designated as transcendence, self-realization, or God consciousness. Here’s where those who are called saintly reside. Just below this level is the place of pure joy, and the hallmark of this state is compassion. Those who attain this level have more of a desire to use their consciousness for the benefit of life itself rather than for particular individuals.

Below these supremely high levels, which few ever attain in a permanent way, are the levels of unconditional love, kindness, and acceptance of everyone. Below the levels of energy that strengthen us are the low energy levels of anger, fear, grief, apathy, guilt, hatred, judgment, and shame—all of which weaken and impact us in such a way as to inhibit our connection to the universal energy level of Source.

What I’d like you to do here is take a leap of faith with me, while I present a few of the conclusions that Dr. Hawkins came to in his second book, called The Eye of the I. Through his precise kinesiological testing for truth versus falsehood, he’s calibrated the approximate number of people whose energy is at or below the level that weakens. I’d like you to consider his findings and conclusions relative to your impact on civilization. Dr. Hawkins suggests that it’s crucial for each of us to be aware of the significance of raising our frequency of vibration to the level where we begin to match up with the energy of the universal Source.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this line of research is the idea of counterbalancing. High-energy people counterbalance the negative effect of low-energy people. But it doesn’t happen on a one-to-one basis because of that 87 percent of humanity that’s in the lower weakening frequencies. One person connected to Source can have an enormous impact on many people in the lower energy patterns. The higher up the scale you move toward actually being the light of enlightenment and knowing God consciousness, the more negatively vibrating energies you can counterbalance.

Here are some fascinating figures from Dr. Hawkins’s research for you to contemplate as you review the impact you can have on humanity simply by being on the higher rungs of the ladder:

-    One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of optimism and a willingness to be nonjudgmental of others will counterbalance the negativity of 90,000 individuals who calibrate at the lower weakening levels.
-    One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of pure love and reverence for all of life will counterbalance the negativity of 750,000 individuals who calibrate at the lower weakening levels.
-    One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of illumination, bliss, and infinite peace will counterbalance the negativity of 10 million people who calibrate at the lower weakening levels.
-    One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of grace, pure spirit beyond the body, in a world of complete oneness, will counterbalance the negativity of 70 million people who calibrate at the lower weakening levels.

The implications of these figures are immense for discovering ways of improving human consciousness. By raising your own frequency of vibration only slightly to a place where you regularly practice kindness, love, and receptivity, and where you see beauty and the endless potential of good in others as well as yourself, you counterbalance 90,000 people somewhere on this planet who are living in the low-energy levels of shame, anger, hatred, guilt, despair, and depression.

Consider the importance of becoming aware of the impact you have on others, and remind yourself that by raising your own energy level to a place where you’re in harmony with Source, you become an instrument, or a channel, of peace. This works everywhere, so be a part of the counterbalance to the human negativity you encounter in your life. As Mahatma Gandhi said: “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.”

"Animal Odd Couples": A beautiful documentary about the emotions and relationships between animals of different species

A MUST SEE DOCUMENTARY

Despite the odds, there are countless stories of the most unlikely cross-species relationships imaginable: a goat guiding a blind horse; a doe who regularly visits her Great Dane surrogate mother; a juvenile gibbon choosing to live with a family of capuchins, and so on. Instincts gone awry?
The subject has mystified scientists for years. Now, NATURE investigates why animals form these special bonds. Informed by the observations of caregivers and noted scientists Temple Grandin and Marc Bekoff, the film explores what these relationships suggest about the nature of animal emotions. Documentary by PBS Nature.

Breaking the Illusion of Limitation

Transformation and Evolution of the Mind and Humankind
Breaking the Illusion of Limitation:

You were born a small bundle of infinite potential
You loved and were loved unconditionally
The concept of lack was foreign to you
As you grew you started to question the world around you
But at school you were taught to repeat information instead of to think for yourself
You were ridiculed by peers when you challenged the status quo
And so you allowed group mentality to sway your actions and decisions
You did as you were told as you feared the consequences of what would happen if you did not
Do you like being ruled by fear?
You were judged and so you learned to do the same
Yet one has to recognise in ones self what he is judging in another
Be aware of what you are judging then change that part of yourself
Your opinions were formed through the use of television programming
(it's not called programming for nothing)
You were presented with continuous distractions to keep you from questioning the reality around you
You were deliberately kept ignorant as we fear what we do not understand
You sought news of world events but were fed propaganda
You were given hope with promise of effecting change through voting
But that hope disintegrated when you realized that both parties were played by the same hand
You were told by religions to worship a deity outside of yourself
Never realizing that you were already part of the infinite consciousness of the universe
You joined the rat race as no other option was evident
You were trained to be a consumer with constant bombardment of corporate symbolism
Chemicals were placed in your food and drink to make you more passive
You grew unhappy with your situation but were told "that's life, get on with it"
You were taught to disparage others because of their differences
Which made you vulnerable when those differences you identified yourself with were in turn attacked
You repeat the same cycles of negative behaviour because you let circumstance dictate your mood
If only you were able to realize there is no good or bad, only perception
You let the past dictate your present and worry about the future
Even though the past and future do not exist, you only ever have the present
Living in the moment is all you can ever do
National pride was instilled in you at the expense of distancing you from the rest of the world
You only limit that which you label and ascribe terms to. The truth cannot be so easily forced into a box
Is it any wonder you feel confused and directionless?
The powers that be have been working very hard to make you believe you have no power, no control
But it's all just an illusion

Once you realize how powerful you are you will never again act against your will
All you have to do is remember who you are
You are the same soul that was born all those years ago
That same soul but with years of conditioning clouding your sense of self
As Bill Hicks said "You are the imagination of yourself"
So who do you want to be?
It's your choice, just start believing
We all come from the same source, we are all one
You realize this as the labels you were given no longer fit
You were born free and will die free but will you live free?
The choice is yours
You are infinite potential
Respect yourself and you will respect others

A world beyond war
